I've been so busy every week shooting weddings it's been hard to update my website with new pictures. Most likely by Fall I will have an opportunity to add more recent pics.
I've been having a blast this summer, meeting a lot of wonderful people. I really enjoy wedding photography. We met some "Thrasher" artists
Jason
Adams and Russ Pope up in the city at ONSIX
Gallery on Friday night. It was a huge turnout. We couldn't stick
around for the band since our hunger got the best of us. We purchased
part of this piece of Meister Brau to hang in our pool table
room. Makes me want to start hitting the balls around again!

The visit from Tony Hawk was a special one. We had the opportunity to meet him at the meet-n-greet in the Scotts Valley Community Center along with Corey Duffel, Sessions Pro Skater. The pros then went to the skate demo afterwards and we noticed Tony wearing the Jimbo Phillips designed, Remember Eric Costello T-Shirt. Tony busted out the 540 Mc Twist and other legand skaters of the park pull out their best trix.
To note, in one of the pictures Scott is handing Tony Hawk a SKIVYS "In Case of Fire" magnet.
It was truely an experience we'll never forget. It definitely put Scotts Valley on the map in the skateboarding world as well as the memory of Eric Costello whom touched all of our lives.

| Tony Hawk to Skate for Eric Costello Fundraiser |

Tony Hawk is scheduled to skate a demo in Scotts Valley - Tim Brauch Memorial Skate Park, Sunday November 20th. His demo will help raise funds for the Eric Costello Memorial through raffles and etc.
Tony will be skating from 1 pm - 3 pm but suggest you get there earlier to check it out. DJ RS2 will be spinning music and many local skate related companies will be on hand.

| Eric Costello Memorial Service |

The service was a really special event. There were bookmarks and CD's with Eric's pictures on them passed out to everyone who came through the door. There was a line going down the street of all the people whom attended.
The service started with Don Costello speaking. He talked about how Eric played a big role in everyone's lives and how he had such a multi-facted life filled with many hobbies and activites. Just to give an example of Eric's vast lifestyle Don mentioned when he opened Eric's wallet he saw a membership card to the Society of Filoli which is a wonderful garden in San Mateoo not very many people know about. One small intricate part of Eric's life that I would presume many people didn't know. Don went on to mention many more memories of a son that he was very much fond of.
I heard Eric's son Taylor's Mom speak, friends and many students went up to the podium to talk about how many skateboard items Eric gave them. I think that was truly the most touching part. There was a slide show and film clips of Eric skateboarding, surfing, and skimboarding all playing to the tune of Eric's favorite Reggae bands.
It was a very fulfilling experience. After the service a memorial skate in the Scott's Valley Park was being held with many kids from Eric's classes as well as friends.

I lost a friend yesterday. I found out Eric got into a skateboarding accident and unfortunately lost his life yesterday afternoon. There is a dedication on SKIVYS. I hope to post a message board as well on the site so keep checking back.
